CPAAS Agricultural Technology Day 2017

Washington State University’s Center for Precision and Automated Agricultural Systems will host an Agricultural Technology Day at 1 p.m. July 31 at the Ag Technology Building.

It will be an event geared to educate growers, agricultural industry professionals, crop consultants and researchers about the cutting-edge agricultural technologies being researched by the CPAAS affiliates. Through dedicated plenary session and 30+ posters, technology displays, and demos, the CPAAS team will showcase agricultural automation, robotics, and precision agriculture technologies.

Highlights of this year’s event include focused plenary talks on ‘Drone-Data-Decisions in Agriculture’ and ‘Precision Irrigation Technologies’ followed by a live demo of Low energy precision irrigation and UAS based multispectral sensing technologies.

The event will also feature displays and short demos of key technologies such as Robotic weeding, Precision pollination, Mechanical pruning, Direct root-zone deficit irrigation, Novel chemical application technologies, Robotic apple harvesting, Intelligent in-orchard bin-managing system and High-throughput crop phenotyping technologies, and much more.

It is a great opportunity for the industry to interact with the CPAAS researchers and provide valuable feedback during the sessions and also during the networking social from 5 to 6 pm.
