21 Days Training Programme on “Impact Assessment of Agricultural Technology”.

The Division of Agricultural Economics, under the auspices of CAFT, organizes training programs every year. So far 29 training programs, covering a wide array of topics under economics, econometrics and advances in agricultural policy research have been conducted. The Division has proposed to conduct a 21 days training program on the topic “Impact Assessment of Agricultural Technology” during 08 - 28 November, 2016

ParticipantsFaculty and researchers in agricultural economics/ social sciences of SAUs, ICAR Institutes and other public institutes engaged in agricultural research shall apply for the training program. Around 25 participants will be selected.
MethodologyThe training program will include lectures from specialists, computer-oriented problem-solving sessions and case studies. There will be balanced emphasis on the theory and application. The participants are encouraged to bring information on technology developed by their institute for case studies.
EligibilityThe candidate must possess a masters’ degree in agricultural economics or related social sciences with at least five years teaching or research experience and should be working not below the rank of a scientist or assistant professor. Preference will be given to the candidates having some knowledge and job responsibility in the area related to the training. Candidates desirous of participating in the course and fulfilling the eligibility conditions shall apply through proper channel in the given proforma. The participants should submit their applications online using CBP portal (http://iasri.res.in/cbp) / or under the link Capacity Building Program at http://icar.org.in). After filling the online application, take a print out and get it approved by the competent authority of the organization. Upload the scanned copy of application through CBP portal. However, an advance copy of the application may be sent to the Head and Director (CAFT). The last date for receipt of application in the Division is 25-08-2016. Selected candidates will be informed at least one month prior to the start of the training program. T.A. to the participants will be paid as per their entitlement for the class of travel restricted to the maximum of AC II tier fare by the shortest route. Participants are required to produce tickets in support of their claim. CAFT will bear lodging and boarding expenses of all the participants as per ICARrules.
